Planet Throwing

I thought it might be a good time to throw out a game that has been kicking around in my head for a while now. Essentially, it is two players throwing "planets" at each other, and trying to hit a target of some kind.

The idea would be that there is a board littered with various celestial objects, planets, stars, whatever. Objects thrown past them would be affected by their gravity, and their trajectories would thusly be altered. Players would have the ability to choose what kind of planet they "throw" setting different things like mass, density, etc.. would could affect how strongly the planet is affected by gravity of the objects it passes. So the idea would be to use the gravity of the objects in your path to change your the course the planet you are throwing, and getting it to land on your opponents base.

I have a bunch of variations in mind, with differing levels of difficulty, but if anyone is interested, email me at: cpatti2@uiuc.edu
