Description

We will implement the Alternate Reality Kit. A description and video of a previous implementation is located at http://www.open-video.org/details.php?videoid=8050. The Alternate Reality Kit is an animated environment for creating interactive simulations. ARK is built upon a physical-world metaphor: all objects have an image; a position; a velocity; and can experience forces. Users manipulate objects with the mouse cursor which enables them to carry and throw objects; to press buttons; and to operate sliders.

Scope

Due to the extension of the problem, we will implement the Motion and Gravity laws to the world; adding more features if time permits.

Key features

  • Throw motion: When the user drag and drops an object in the world, a simulated 'throw' motion occurs: continuing the motion of the object in the direction outlined but the mouse movement.
