NCAA Tournament Pick 'em

Project members:
Adeep Cheema, Moosa Muhammad, Ben Payne, Eric Zimmerman

Project description:
The Final Four is upon us, and many have filled out tournament brackets to compete with rooommates, friends, and co-workers. Sites like Yahoo! Tournament Pick'em provide a slick web interface for joining groups, selecting teams, scoring results, and tracking the leading participants.

We plan to offer similar functionality by designing a Tournament Pick'em application in Squeak. Users will visit our Seaside-driven web interface to sign up for the tournament. They will fill out a tournament bracket in their browser and enter the bracket in a private "pool" with friends/competitors.

The site administrator enters the results of each round of games, and the system will check each user's selections against the actual results. Brackets will be scored by one of several available scoring rules, and up-to-date rankings of the participants will be made available on the web or by email.

While this is primarily targeted toward the NCAA Basketball tournaments, this system should work for any single-elimination-style tournament.

Squeak modules and README file are available for download.
